The 2024 Wells Fargo Championship, a prestigious PGA Tour event, will take place from May 6-12 at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. The tournament serves as a major warm-up event for the PGA Championship, which will be held the following week at Southern Hills Golf Course in Oklahoma.

The 2024 Wells Fargo Championship will feature a full field of players, including defending champion Rory McIlroy. However, one notable absentee will be Scottie Scheffler, the current world number one. Scheffler has yet to provide a reason for his absence.

The Wells Fargo Championship is one of eight Signature Events on the PGA TOUR schedule. The tournament has been held at Quail Hollow Club since 2003 and has consistently attracted a strong field of players. In 2023, McIlroy won the tournament by one stroke over Max Homa.
